Information we collect

• Account info: name, email, phone, password hash.
• Delivery info: pickup/delivery addresses, contact names and phone numbers, package descriptions, instructions, declared value, insurance selections.
• Payment info: billing details are processed by our payment provider; we never store full card numbers.
• Location data: driver GPS is collected only while a delivery assignment is active and is shared with the customer for their active delivery.
• Proof of delivery: recipient names, signatures, and photos are retained for up to 2 years for dispute resolution.
• Usage data: device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, for security and product analytics.

How we use it

To complete deliveries, communicate order status by email and SMS, prevent fraud, comply with tax and reporting obligations, improve the service, and provide customer support. We do not sell personal information.

Sharing

We share the minimum information needed with drivers assigned to your delivery (name, address, phone, package info). We use vetted service providers for hosting, email, SMS, mapping, and payments, each bound by data-protection terms.

SMS & Communications

By providing your mobile number and checking the consent box when booking a delivery at bringittoyou.com/quote or applying to drive at bringittoyou.com/drive, you agree to receive transactional SMS messages from BITY related to your order or application (booking confirmations, driver assignment, pickup/delivery status, ETA changes, proof of delivery, and support replies).

Message frequency: varies by order activity, typically 3–8 messages per delivery. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for support.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors (e.g., the assigned driver, our SMS delivery provider) is limited to what is required to fulfill your delivery. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party for their own use.

Marketing messages are opt-in only and separate from transactional delivery updates.

Retention

Order records: 7 years (tax). Proof-of-delivery photos and signatures: 2 years. Location trail: 30 days after order completion, then deleted. Cancelled account data: 90 days, unless required by law.

Your rights

You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Ohio and Kentucky residents have specific rights under state law; we honor all applicable state privacy statutes.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is limited to authorized personnel. We use industry-standard authentication and row-level security in our database.

Children

BITY is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
